Pierrig was born in Landaul in Morbihan; cradled by his grandfather and his father with Breton music, he learned traditional instruments: flute, bombards, bagpipe, carols in Breton and French, then the organ, the piano and the guitar.
When he was 16, he created his first compositions and started on various scenes and Parisian cabarets. At 21, his return in Brittany, opened him the doors of the new Breton music and a return to the sources by the creation of songs of traditional inspiration and music to be danced: many participations in festivals and festou-noz.
The birth of his children pushed him to compose especially for them. At this point in time he created songs and stories specific to the world and the characters of childhood.
His music, with or without traditional instruments, draws from the Breton and Celtic tradition while keeping the American folk and blues influences. Since, thanks to the success met in this field, he did not stop tours, records 6 discs and, with schools, worked on 10 original productions.
His encounter with Slawek, musician and type-setter of Polish roots is of primary importance in the current show. Slawek is considered by the national specialized press to be one of best the guitarist of blues in France (his last album "ISTANBLUES" has been awarded by Télérama). His way of playing and of seeing the music, even if it draws its sources in the great names of blues, remains very original.
For Slawek, the creator of the new Worldblues style, the music does not have borders. Touched, since 1986 by the songs of Pierrig Dréau, he put since his talent at the service of his melodies, bringing a new color to them and giving them a new dash. Their complicity, you will discover it on scene when they involve the children towards a spontaneous, total participation by humour, songs, music, gestures and dance.
