Gilles Thoraval is born in St Brieuc on April 9, 1953, "Briochin" of origin, he still likes to eat very much (and always loves to eat brioche at breakfast).
When he was young, he knew already that he would be a singer and preferably for the kid who remained in his head, helped, by the baby tooth that he still jealously keeps in the jaw.
His former job was in dental prosthesis, definitely!! But he did not bite into this! 1980: First album "Pour vous qui m’écoutez" with arrangements from Jacky Lagger, a longtime friend, in Switzerland, where he also recorded a part of the Choruses of the last album "Balades en Chantées" (2004).
1985: "Mathématique" - 1993: "Soleil, tu ris, tu pleures" - 1999 : "Crock-Chanson, ma croque vitamine"
He moves everywhere where one requires him, accompanied by its guitars six Cords, twelve Cords, Ukulélé, Concertina, Harmonica, etc... Without forgetting the one-man-band David er Porh who comes with him on stage and who made the musical arrangements of the last album.
Visits in many schools, festivals, arts centres... Twice at the Festival of Yzeure (01) - Twice at the Child Festival chant'Eure - Festival Paléo of Nyon (CH) in 2002. And thanks to you, the voyage continues!
... Ah yes, Gilles has also 2 children: Jérémy, Maïna and Véronig, the mom, who take part in their way with the new adventure of "Balades En Chantées"!
